The Dr.dabber switch its simply the future of vapin concentrates/flower (more for concentrate) it has so many heat options ,so you can go from different layers of flavors to different layers and thickness of clouds the higher you go up and temperature it also has the options for you to replace multiple different types of induction cups like Sapphire (sic silicon carbide you have your cords smooth Ceramics irregular rough ceramics it is by far my favorite Vape riser and definitely will grab another one and 4:20 if they come out with a clear one or a white one amazing product the future
I have been yearning for this rig for quite a while, after receiving and going through the motions of fiddlin wid it, i am now ready to give a Solid Review.
Purchased at Weedipedia for a solid fare price that included shipping. Two days later I was delighted to recieve it! Well done guys!
Box rig came in is sturdy(stiff cardboard), slick and professional! Deep covered foam is quality, you CAN ACTUALLY use it for travel over and over again...
Super sturdy materials for SWITCH itself, looks almost water resistant (?), glass holding heating coil is HEAVY duty, all electronics within housing and below glass bowl. No way to take anything apart....meaning nothing to break!
Second part of rigging is a thick glass water pipe attached to a tapered (slip over) barrel. A large plastic ring (not shown on box nor instructions) is provided, it is positioned on bottom of barrel, for a very tight fit onto glass protrusion of SWITCH. Very clean, heavy duty (just dont drop...its GLASS).
Dabbing: this takes time.
I also used tini blue sapphires in the ceramic bucket. 2-3ml in size, along with some 5ml red and pink rubies, just to see what IT was all about...
Because the heating element starts at very bottom of each bucket, then up the sides and over the lip! Waxes and oils seem to crawl away from the heat. So, what to do....?
Using the 5ml rubies, seems to stop the "crawl" about midway up the sides...hmmm..but seems the cold grabs residue..and keeps it cooler. So low heat dabs are virtually worthless. So, if using high heat, these little bastards heat up drastically, while keeping the resins in the bucket.
But, all that fun still was not really burning what I placed into bucket. So i tried a combo of 2 pink#5 and 2 blu#3. That worked pretty good at lower temps..
What I settled on were the blue sapphires. They are so small, the resins actually stay at bottom by coating 7 of em. Cools quickly, completely frying all reminents with only 1 Clean mode.
After dab switch off. Re load tool for loading. Then Clean mode. Switch off and wait until perfect heat just to melt off new load. Take tool place directly in bucket where it melts to warm sapphires. Then Continue.
In the end I used Purple #5, under Advanced Rainbow Mode.
DUDE....PERFECT! The "hold" option is simple.....Hold the center button down until completly finished, then release. Now its set and will keep bucket at THAT temp for that long.
But it is simply amazing on the consumption per dab.... tini amounts (where dab is used completly) can achieve where you want to be.. Go ahead and stick MORE in the pot if you want to, then Clean Mode erupts giant puffs of unspent product. Products may last TWICE the typical lengths per gram!
Leaf mode, its fun just to play around and see how each product has completly different heat modes. Very cool. The Oil mode will knock you for a serious loop with coughing and hacking that lasts too long, if done with out thought..
OK now the only drawback: Sharing....is slow...simply because it needs to cool down. The LED Cooling mode will kick in and its now a brick, until further notice by glass flashing LEDs.
The glass bowl cover has a nice rubber ring that gently sits atop of glass barrel. A single carb hole on top. With a glass protrusion sticking out of middle so you may use as dab stick.
SIC Bucket is absolutly "sick" like cool... I have never tasted anything like it. No carbon or metallic taste, its obvious bucket IS just that, clean burning goodness. Same 7 sapphires at bottom... awsome.
If you want zero choke and burn while dabbing, this IS THE RIG. If you want to by flame broiled, the Oil mode will get you there...
Too much fun playing around with temps and resin control. Its just too fun 'mon.
Price Comparison: Look...., this is a rating of 9.8 out of 10. It should be your LAST piece of dab equipment that you could ever need for the future...
High quality manufacturing, style, materials, etc etc etc...
It actually is worth the money. The SWITCH covers it ALL.
Happy dabbin' yall....
I ordered the Switch bundle with the upgraded perc, quartz bowl, bubble carb cap, large honey mat, and budder cutter. I love the switch so much, but when the pacakge arrived, all I received was the switch unit itself. Took about 10 days of emailing back and forth wi/ weedipedia and it was further complicated by the products not coming direct from weedipedia but from the dr. dabber warehouse so some of the holdup wasn't weedipedia's fault. I had some issues with weedipedia's customer service not responding to my emails at first but got in touch with a supervisor and he got the correspondence much improved. It still took a bit before it shipped but it did eventually. As much as I loved the Switch on its own, some of the bundle components vastly improved it! The quartz bowl works great for concentrates and flowers both. Kinda a nuisance to keep the quartz bowl clean though, concentrates really build up on the walls and bottom, even with cleaning it out after each bowl. Usually have to bust out my leatherman to scrape off the residue, but flowers are super easy to clean the bowl with and don't leave any real residue. But the quartz bowl is a huge improvement over the stock bowls. The upgraded perc is definitely amazing too, i tried the upgraded perc with the stock bowls and it definitely made a significant difference! However, the rest of the bundle isn't so useful... I've never had concentrates that i need to cut up with a heated tool so the budder cutter is kinda pointless. The bubble carb cap I'm fully baffled by... The stock carb cap has a rubber gasket on it to form a tight seal on the unit. The bubble carb cap allows a ton of air flow even when its capping the top of the unit? I'm not sure exactly b/c i abandoned it after realizing it wasn't actually sealing the unit so I'm not sure, but it seems like if air can flow in then vapor can flow out? Dunno for sure but I'm not using the bubble carb cap at all. The honey mat is really nice, but i have no use for such a thing really, and its massive so i don't have room on my desk for it either. However, the price of the quartz bowl and the upgraded perc on their own plus the switch unit would've cost more than the extra cost of the bundle vs just the switch so I'm very happy with my purchase!
